The CCA is pleased to announce its latest member, Wollondilly Shire Council. Located at the south-western fringe of the Sydney metropolitan area, about 75 kilometres from the Sydney CBD, the Council manages 3 operational Cemeteries in the townships of Thirlmere, Picton and Bargo. Additionally there is an unformed cemetery at Couridjah and an historic Yerranderie Cemetery, which is now closed.
Christeen Lewis and Karen Clark are employed as Cemetery & Operations Officers by the Council. Their role involves all aspects of Cemetery management, including sales, record keeping, co-ordinating maintenance requests and improvements, monument approvals, plaque design and installation, site preparations and ashes placements.
Christeen says “Our Council team take pride in offering Cemetery services with a high level of diligence and care to provide a dignified and responsive cemetery and memorialisation service to the community”.
Please make our new member and its delegates welcome, and we look forward to meeting them at future meetings and conferences.
